New term... I'm coining it.
"Lumberjack Fancy", the phrase my best friends well know (and look for in many a
shopping excursion), is one I use to describe a certain MO of my styling.
The basis is a plaid—of course— followed by layering of warmth and embellishment. The goal is a successful juxtaposition of two realms of dressing that have a working order between them. Think: sequins vs. flannel; silk vs. cashmere; spike heels vs. rugged woodsman's wear. Where this really starts to get fun is in the moment that you discover how to work with a print-on-print-on-print in non-manic action.
