ROPES AND CHAINS, MENSWEAR, AND LE PISSOIR

Inspiration images at the Borders on Powell. I like this medieval take on grecian drapery; where chains are employed as roping. An unfussy shirt ties together impeccably styled elements of menswear dressing. And le pissoir is where it's at if you've come with the cool kids.

I am so mad about European taste.

JETLAG-2: FASHION + TRAVEL

Those of us in the trendy crowd hit the city this past Friday night to witness JETLAG-2, a regular fashion + travel event hosted by Trendy Lime and DJ Nader with partners Pinchd and Jetset Extra at the Atrium. Cool was aplenty with the scene full of socialites and world-class travelers sipping champagnes and cocktails under the venue’s artsy walls and vaulted ceilings.

I made way through the glass room and upstairs where the models were getting prepped to walk the fashion. We shot a few candids and then it was back downstairs to line up by the red carpet!

DJ Dimitri Playdoughboy Frolov spun his sweet tracks and the show was underway with “Lionyze” by Lion Got. With an inspiration of comfort without losing the edge of sexy, Lion Got’s pieces are almost like wearing a second skin. Their daring cuts combine a futuristic zion with current minimalism. The jewelry really won my heart! —contemporary blends of artisan gold, silver and copper in modern shapes.

SHORE SIDE

Lately our weather here has been hitting highs around 80 degrees. This California born and raised could not be more ecstatic for the change into late spring. Summer will be soon upon us and I have had great, versatile three season pieces on my mind. A black romper and white linen cardigan provide perfect staples for unpredictable weather and necessary SF bay layering.

CALIFORNIA CITY

I’ve been meaning to share my newfound love of wearing DIY hippie-chic headbands. Basically, my favorite necklace broke when I was getting ready to go out in a rush the other day... spilling all of the pretty beads all over the floor. I did a little magical refurbishing surgery on a cord of stretchy thread and voila! Headband! Haute hippie chic! Now I can’t get enough. I wear something almost every day… necklaces can totally serve as headbands, too.
